Jefferson State’s Center for Workforce Education offers a CDL program and CDL Corporate Simulator Training program. This training provides the skills for immediate employment in an in-demand career field.

Please review the requirements below for upcoming CDL classes at our Chilton-Clanton Campus. Note there are multiple steps in the application process, and candidates should check their emails for ongoing communication.

Applicants must meet the following requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED*
  • Driver’s License for at least one year
  • Social Security Card
  • Read and Speak English
  • MVR (Motor Vehicle Record)
  • DOT Physical long form with DOT drug screening
  • DOT medical card
  • CDL Class A Permit prior to submitting application
  • 100% attendance M-F 7:00 am – 4:00 pm

*If you do not meet this requirement, we encourage you to contact our Adult Education Department.

**Course Fee:  Full Scholarships currently available through Skills for Success funding, fill out the application for more information**
