Jefferson State retirees returned to the college for the annual Retiree Luncheon on Wednesday, Nov. 2.
The event was held at Lurleen Wallace Hall on the Jefferson Campus and featured a meal prepared by Jefferson State’s Culinary and Hospitality Institute.
Dean of Economic Development Guin Robinson welcomed those in attendance, which included about 40 retirees.
President Keith Brown gave the retirees an update on progress at the college over the past year. Topics included enrollment, retention, the Capital Campaign, new CDL program, the opening of the Downtown Birmingham Training Facility, and more.
“Our success is because of the success you’ve had here,” Brown told the retirees.
