Ten graduates of Jefferson State’s Welding Training Program were celebrated at a Certificate Ceremony at the Pell City Municipal Complex on Thursday, Dec. 12.
Dean of Workforce Education Leah Bigbee welcomed those in attendance, and speakers included Kaitlee Daw of the Women’s Foundation of Alabama, Roxann Edsall of New Life Church, and Deborah Foster with Jefferson State.

- Dominique Jackson
- Stephanie Kennedy
- Brittany Kujan
- Saira Moreno
- Britney Sheeley
Partners include the Women’s Foundation of Alabama, St. Clair County Head Start, and New Life Church in Pell City. Thanks to The Women’s Foundation of Alabama, class participants received scholarships to cover registration fees, books, and even transportation and child care expenses.
Coca-Cola Bottling Company United representatives were in attendance to celebrate with students as long-time supporters of the Women’s Foundation’s community college grantmaking.
Company partners include Vulcan Industries, Ford Meter Box, and Hubbell Power Systems.
