Nine Jefferson State employees were recognized for completing the college’s Leadership Academy program at a ceremony on Friday, April 18, in the Fitzgerald Student Center on the Jefferson Campus.
During the program from September 2024 through March, the Leadership Academy class met once a month, touring all four of the college’s campuses while learning about topics including student support, adult education, workforce training, leadership styles, and the Alabama Community College System.
The Leadership Academy Class of 2024-25 includes:

The objectives of the Leadership Academy are:
- Enable JSCC leaders to learn more clearly the college’s goals and strategies, while inspiring their individual contributions to its success.
- Educate leaders for the purpose of sharing accurate information in a positive manner with co-workers and the community.
- Promote individual professional development and leadership skills.
