The Alabama Community College System (ACCS) recognized 48 of its top students recently at the 30th Annual All-Alabama Academic Team Recognition Program at the Embassy Suites in Hoover. Two students from each Alabama community college earned scholarship awards totaling $61,250.
Jefferson State’s All-Alabama Academic team members are Brianna Tyson and Xiaomin Wu.
“Today’s accolades demonstrate the dedication and hard work of our students, signifying the high standards of excellence upheld by the ACCS,” said Jimmy H. Baker, chancellor of the ACCS. “I am proud of both the faculty and students, whose tremendous efforts make these achievements and this event possible.”
Each student earned a $1,000 scholarship from the Paths for Success Foundation to be used at any public or private college of their choice.
