Jefferson State Offers Phlebotomy Certification

Click Here  to download the Program Application

A Phlebotomy Certificate serves patients by identifying the best method for retrieving specimens; preparing specimens for laboratory testing; performing screening procedures. Performing moderate to complex laboratory testing can only be performed with completion of the Associates Degree in MLT.

Students enrolled in the program are eligible for Financial Aid. The class is offered each semester, but placement is limited for non MLT majors. This certification is a requirement for the AAS degree in Medical Laboratory Technology so students admitted to this program will be placed first. Please contact the Program or Clinical Coordinator for availability before submission of an application.

Workforce Education offers a Fast-Track Phlebotomy Certification that offers this program throughout the year. Click Here to find out more information about this option.
