Join your fellow students for our 2025 Winter Wonderland Formal. Come in your finest look for this event at our Shelby-Hoover campus on February 28th. The dance will run from 7:00-10:00pm.
Tickets can be purchased at the cashier’s office on all four campuses, or in the myJSCC portal online. Tickets are $15 for a single ticket, or $25 for two.
Tickets must be purchased in advance! We’ll have the list of attendees at the door.
All students and their guests are invited. Yes, that means you can bring a date who isn’t a student here!
In addition to great music and food, we’ll have two photo booths, karaoke, and a video game room.
Prizes will be awarded for Best Dressed, Best Dancer, and maybe some surprises!

Frequently Asked Questions
What’s the theme?
- Winter Wonderland.
What do I wear?
- Whatever you want (within reason)! We’re not the fashion police. Show off your style!
- Ladies: a full formal gown, a cocktail dress, a pair of slacks with a nice top, or something red carpet inspired would all be fine. Put your hair up or let your hair down. It’s up to you!
- Gents: Tuxedo, suit, or anything fresh and fly. Cowboy boots and a blazer. New kicks and your fancy jeans.
- You can look at the pictures from the last two years if you want to see what folks have worn before.
Where do I buy tickets?
- Tickets can be purchased at any campus cashier’s office or online.
- Tickets will not be available until mid-January.
- We’ll post a “How to” video when tickets are available.
How much do tickets cost?
- $15 for a single ticket, or $25 for two tickets
- If you’re buying more than two tickets, get them in whatever combination you need!

Who’s invited?
- Any Jeff State student and their guest.
- We really mean All: Traditional students, Adult students, GED students, Workforce students, DE students.
- If you’re taking classes with us, you’re invited. And so is your guest. But you (the student) has to buy the tickets.
Who can come as my guest?
- Whoever you’d like! But please note that guests must follow campus policies listed in the Jeff State Student Handbook.
- Long story short: no drugs, alcohol, nor fighting. We’re all coming to have a good, safe time.
You mean I don’t have to get a form signed for my guest to attend?
- Nope! This isn’t high school.
How do I win best dancer or best dressed?
- All attendees will get to vote right there at the dance!
What else will there be to do?
- We’ll have a video game room with Mario Kart, Smash Bros, and potentially more group games.
- Karaoke in the main lobby
- Finger foods and dessert
Will there be food?
- Yes, we plan to have a variety of food options – including the perennial favorite, a chocolate fountain! But the food options will be light finger foods, not a whole meal.
